THE FIRESIDE, another Mohawk cabin, boasts of three good-sized bedrooms, an extra-large living room, full kitchen, bath, porch and a 6x8-ft. utility room.
The model shown was photographed on the beautiful shores of Lake Champlain in Vergennes, Vermont. Purchased pre-cut and about forty per cent
prefabricated, this model was built for less than $3,500. Construction is the same as that of The Hiawatha described in the previous article (page 94) which is standard procedure for this type of cabin.
Featuring all-year-round construction, The Fireside, designed by Mr. Swan of the Mohawk Cabin Company, is popular as a fall and winter hunting lodge as well as a summer vacation retreat.
